Aliens Like Us with Rhys Darby

As someone who loves Rhys Darby and all things alien, I was excited to find out that Rhys Darby has a new podcast about aliens. Aliens Like Us with Rhys Darby was released on Spotify today, and it's a fun look at extraterrestrials featuring UFO news, expert guests, and more. In the first episode ("What Are They?"), Rhys, co-host Leon "Buttons" Kirkbeck, and producer Ethan Edenberg discuss recent reports of cattle mutilation, talk about MUFON and Area 51 with actor Henry Zebrowski, and share a real report from a contactee.

I really enjoyed the first episode of Aliens Like Us...Rhys was delightful as always, and I could listen to him talk about anything, but I especially enjoy listening to him talk about aliens. I'm excited to start off my Wednesday mornings with this podcast and will be eagerly awaiting new episodes. If you're anything like me, you'll love Aliens Like Us, so head over to Spotify and give it a listen and a follow now. 👽

Hollyweird Paranormal Follows the Yellow Brick Road

I talk about Hollyweird Paranormal on this blog a lot because it's my favorite podcast, and in the latest episode, hosts Tammie Merheb-Chavez and Brice Mitchell Williams tell us about what happened behind the scenes during the making of The Wizard of Oz. This classic movie wasn't all rainbows and fabulous shoes - the things that happened during the making of The Wizard of Oz were as dark as the Wicked Witch of the West and her flying monkeys. You can find out all about it (along with the paranormal aftermath) here:

Hollyweird Paranormal

If you're in search of a paranormal podcast to listen to, check out HollyweirdParanormal, which
combines true crime and the paranormal. I love both of those things, so I listened to the latest episode...it was informative and entertaining, and I really enjoyed it. The podcast is hosted by Tammie Merheb-Chavez and Brice Mitchell Williams, and they've done four episodes so far: "The True Crime and Paranormal Aftermath of The Sharon Tate & Manson Family Murders," "The True Crime and Paranormal Aftermath of The Cecil Hotel," "The True Crime and Paranormal Aftermath of Superman, George Reeves," and "Famous Haunted Hollywood Apartments." I'm glad I found out about this podcast, and I'm definitely going to listen to more episodes. : )

ScareLA: Haunted LA vs. Haunted OC

I was lucky enough to go to ScareLA this year, and while I was there, I attended Haunted LA vs. Haunted OC, a live version of the Collywobbles podcast. I wrote about it for Haunt Jaunts, and you can read about it here:

You can also watch the podcast, which I highly recommend because it was really entertaining. : )

Paranormal Podcast: The Cryptid Factor

I recently found out that Rhys Darby has a paranormal podcast, and I'm a little annoyed that I just found out about something awesome that I could've started listening to a few years ago. I've been a fan of Rhys since his time as Murray Hewitt on Flight of the Conchords (if anyone has ever wondered why I named my hamster Murray, now you know), so of course I had to check out his podcast. It's called The Cryptid Factor, and he hosts it with David Farrier and Leon "Buttons" Kirkbeck. For anyone who doesn't know, a cryptid is an animal whose existence has not been proven or accepted by science (Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, etc.). I've only listened to one episode so far, but it was pretty entertaining (plus I like listening to Rhys because his accent is THE BEST), so I'm definitely going to listen to more. If you'd like to listen to a fun, interesting podcast, you can find The Cryptid Factor here:

Make sure to check out the Facebook page too...it's a great way to keep up with cryptid-related news. : )
