Halloween 2020

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻💀 I'm not doing anything for Halloween this year, but I always dress up no matter what, and this year I was Alexis Rose from Schitt's Creek. 😊

2020 Halloween Display

In my apartment, Spooky Season starts on August 1st, so I spent last weekend decorating for Halloween. Here are some pictures of this year's Halloween display. 😊👻🎃

UniversalClass.com: UFO Studies

Since I haven't gone anywhere in two months, I decided to take some free courses while I'm staying safe at home...my library system lets members take courses on UniversalClass.com for free, and when I saw that they offered a UFO Studies class, of course I had to take it. The course consists of nine lessons, covering topics like Roswell, alien abductions, and crop circles, and even though I already know a ton about UFOs/aliens, I learned a lot and ended up with a final grade of 98%, so I think that officially makes me a UFO expert. 😉 If you're interested in taking the course, you can find it here:

Stay Home and Read Never Trust an Angel for Free!

Looking for something fun to read while you avoid crowds? Keep your mind off all the bad news with Never Trust an Angel and Other Plays! It'll be free on Amazon through March 16th, and I hope you have as much reading it as I did writing it. Here's what it's about:

Satan is sure that his overachieving son will run Hell someday, but his wife has a secret that may change everything. Jesus wants to quit his job to start a Christian metal band, and now it's up to God to find a new Messiah...but the person he has in mind doesn't want the job. Will God be able to find a suitable Messiah? Will Christian metal be as terrible as it sounds, or will Jesus take the music business by storm? Will Satan and Angel's relationship survive Angel's betrayal? You'll find answers to these questions and more (How did Judas end up with a courtroom TV show?) in Never Trust and Angel and Other Plays.

Support Amazing Art with 2Cents Theatre!

2Cents Theatre is committed to changing hearts with art, but they need your help. They're trying to raise money for this month's Acting Out INK Fest, their incredible play festival showcasing female-identifying and non-binary playwrights. I've been lucky enough to have three of my plays performed during INK Fest, and being involved with this theatre company has changed my life. Having my plays performed by 2Cents Theatre inspired me to write my web series and eventually move to L.A., and I can't imagine my life without these kind, supportive, all-around awesome people.

If you'd like to support the arts and help out this amazing theatre company, please make a donation through Venmo or PayPal:

You can find out more about 2Cents Theatre here, and if you live in L.A., check out INK Fest from March 27th-29th.

Aliens Like Us with Rhys Darby

As someone who loves Rhys Darby and all things alien, I was excited to find out that Rhys Darby has a new podcast about aliens. Aliens Like Us with Rhys Darby was released on Spotify today, and it's a fun look at extraterrestrials featuring UFO news, expert guests, and more. In the first episode ("What Are They?"), Rhys, co-host Leon "Buttons" Kirkbeck, and producer Ethan Edenberg discuss recent reports of cattle mutilation, talk about MUFON and Area 51 with actor Henry Zebrowski, and share a real report from a contactee.

I really enjoyed the first episode of Aliens Like Us...Rhys was delightful as always, and I could listen to him talk about anything, but I especially enjoy listening to him talk about aliens. I'm excited to start off my Wednesday mornings with this podcast and will be eagerly awaiting new episodes. If you're anything like me, you'll love Aliens Like Us, so head over to Spotify and give it a listen and a follow now. 👽

TV Show Spotlight: Locke & Key

Locke & Key is a 2020 Netflix show starring Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck. It's based on a comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, and since I loved Hill's Horns, I was excited to watch Locke & Key.

After the murder of their father, three siblings and their mother move to his ancestral estate in Massachusetts. They discover magical keys that give them powers and abilities, but something sinister wants the keys and will do anything to get them.

I really enjoyed Locke & Key...the acting and writing are incredible, and once I started watching it, I didn't want to stop. I've never seen another show quite like it, and that's something I really appreciate. If you're looking for a show that's moving, spooky, fun, and truly unique, check out Locke & Key! 🙂

My rating: 8.5/10
