WolfCop is a 2014 movie starring Leo Fafard, Amy Matysio, Jonathan Cherry, Sarah Lind, Aidan Devine, Jesse Moss, and Corinne Conley. After alcoholic cop Lou Garou (Leo Fafard) turns into a werewolf, he uses his new powers to become a better cop, protecting his small town from devil worshipers and shape-shifters.
I'm always looking for weird paranormal movies, so of course there was no way I was skipping one called WolfCop. It's a fun movie and a fresh take on the cop genre (and it features one of the strangest sex scenes ever), and if Netflix gets the sequel when it's released later this year, I'll probably watch it. If you're into movies about werewolves, check this one out...and if you've ever wanted to see a werewolf penis, now's your chance. ; )

Movie Spotlight: Ginger Snaps
Ginger Snaps is a 2000 movie starring Emily Perkins (who you might know as young Beverly Marsh in Stephen King's It), Katharine Isabelle, Kris Lemche, Mimi Rogers, Jesse Moss, Danielle Hampton, and John Bourgeois. After teenage sisters Brigitte (Emily Perkins) and Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) Fitzgerald are attacked by a creature that has been mauling dogs in their neighborhood, Ginger (who was bitten) begins exhibiting very strange behavior (acting aggressive, growing a tail...you know the drill).
I almost turned Ginger Snaps off after seeing a mutilated dog at the beginning of the movie (I seriously can't handle bad things happening to dogs), but I powered through and ended up liking the movie. Werewolf movies have the potential to turn out cheesy, but this one was pretty good (though my favorite werewolves will probably always be the ones from What We Do in the Shadows). The young leads gave great performances, so I'm interested to watch the sequels whenever they're on cable again.
My rating: 7/10

Horror Movie Month: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is a 2010 movie written and directed by Eli Craig and starring Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, and Jesse Moss. Hillbillies Tucker McGee (Alan Tudyk) and Dale Dobson (Tyler Labine) are mistaken for killers by a group of college students who are camping in the woods near Tucker's vacation home...the very woods where the Memorial Day Massacre took place twenty years earlier.
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil has been in my Netflix queue forever, and I don't know what took me so long to watch it...I enjoy horror movies that are also comedies, and this one was really funny. I don't normally laugh when people die in movies, but the deaths in this movie are so funny and creative that I laughed at every one of them. I don't know how these kids got into college because they're pretty dumb...so dumb that a few of them accidentally kill themselves while trying to kill Tucker and Dale. All of the actors were great, and I'm happy that there's talk of a sequel...I would love to see Tucker and Dale in another movie. : )
