Movie Spotlight: Haunter

Haunter is a 2013 movie starring Abigail Breslin, Stephen McHattie, Samantha Weinstein, Peter DaCunha, Peter Outerbridge, and Michelle Nolden.  Abigail Breslin plays Lisa Johnson, the ghost of a teenage girl who was murdered in 1985.  She's the only one in her family who is smart enough to realize that the fact that every day is the day before her 16th birthday means they are all dead.  Lisa, her parents (Michelle Nolden and Peter Outerbridge), and her brother (Peter DaCunha) were murdered in 1985 and keep living that day over and over's like Groundhog Day for ghosts!

I've been a fan of Abigail Breslin since Little Miss Sunshine, and she was great in Haunter.  I've watched a lot of movies I've never heard of for this blog, and Haunter is better than most of them (the acting is much better too).  The plot was interesting, and I liked that it was told from a ghost's point-of-view.

My rating: 7/10
