The Haunted Writer is a website that showcases free paranormal Kindle books, ghost hunting tools (and includes links to buy them), and videos and accounts of real paranormal occurrences. If you've had your own paranormal experience, there's a place to submit your story, so submit away if you want the world to know about your brushes with the paranormal. I thought the posts about haunted locations were really interesting, and you can find them here if you'd like to read them:

Cool Website of the Week: Area51.org
I recently discovered a website that is advertised as "the secret headquarters for paranormal reports," and I just had to share it...you can find it at Area51.com, and it's full of up-to-date paranormal news stories and links to stories on other websites about UFOs, ghosts, Bigfoot, and other interesting things. I could spend hours reading all the articles this website links to, so if you check it out, make sure you have a lot of time to spare...I wouldn't want you to be late for work!

Cool Website of the Week: Paranormal Soup
This week's cool website is paranormalsoup.com, a community where people can discuss the paranormal. The website includes forums to discuss haunted places, UFOs, Bigfoot, paranormal news, and lots of other paranormal phenomena, and you can even post your own EVP recordings, as well as photos and videos of ghosts. Also, if you've been experiencing paranormal activity in your home, you can ask for help in the "Need help with a haunting?" forum...there are some pretty creepy stories in that forum!

Cool Website of the Week: Your State's Weirdest Unexplained Phenomenon
My friend Brandi Clevinger shared this website with me, and I just had to make it my Cool Website of the Week. It's called Your State's Weirdest Unexplained Phenomenon, and it's pretty fascinating...it lists the states in alphabetical order, so it's really easy to find your state and see what strange thing might be going on near you. I will definitely do my best to avoid the North Carolina Poop Monster when I go there at the end of the year...I hope that thing stays in the sewer where it belongs! ; )

Cool Website of the Week: GhostSingles.com
Terry Lee Kercher posted a link to GhostSingles.com on this blog's Facebook group, and it's so funny I just had to make it my Cool Website of the Week! The homepage has a search box where single ghosts can choose whether they're looking for a male or female ghost, what age range they're looking for, and whether they want someone who died horribly, mysteriously, tragically, or suddenly. Click "Search" and you can read profiles of ghosts who are looking for love. Don't forget to check out the ghost dating tips!

Cool Website of the Week: Eerie Place
This week's cool website is Eerie Place, which bills itself as "The First Stop For Haunted Places" and focuses on the UK. There are sections for Haunted Hotels, Ghost Hunting Events, Paranormal Attractions, and Haunted Places, and if I ever go to England, I'm going to have to check some of these places out...after reading the blog post entitled "I've Discovered Ghosts, Witches, and UFOs in St. Osyth!," I definitely want to visit that place! If you sign up for the website's email list, you'll receive two free ebooks in PDF form: "The A-Z of Ghost Hunting Equipment" and "The Best UK Haunted Places to Stay and Visit," and free stuff is always nice. : ) Thanks to Terry Lee Kercher, a member of my "Why would you want to be normal when you could be paranormal?" Facebook group for telling me about this website!

Cool Website of the Week: Mutual UFO Network
This week's cool website is the Mutual UFO Network (more commonly
known as MUFON). MUFON is probably the most well known UFO
organization, and their website is full of great information...there's
an FAQ that answers questions about MUFON and UFOLOGY, a page that lists
UFO-related events, a store, news, information about other UFO
organizations, and a place where you can find your local chapter of
MUFON (unfortunately, it looks like the South Carolina chapter may be
defunct since the link to their website comes up with a page saying the
domain is for sale). You can also donate money or join MUFON on the
website, and believe me, if I hadn't quit my job, I would probably be
paying the $50 to join and get the hard copy of their journal...and then I
just might be tempted to fill out the application to become a MUFON
field investigator (that sounds really interesting)!

Cool Website of the Week: Paranormal Zone X
This week's cool website is Paranormal Zone X. This website seems like one I could spend hours on if I had the time; there are sections about aliens, crop circles, cults, ESP, ghost evidence, ghost hunting equipment, near death experiences, Ouija boards, vampires, and a few other things. On the homepage alone, you can find info about a variety of strange creatures, paranormal phenomena, and
conspiracy theories. This website has extensive information about the topics it covers, so if you're interested in the paranormal, I bet you could really keep yourself busy on Paranormal Zone X...I know I'll be coming back often. : )

Cool Website of the Week: Your Ghost Stories
For today's post, I decided to look for a website that will really creep us out, so I searched for "ghost stories" and found a great one! On Your Ghost Stories, people are invited to submit their real-life paranormal experiences, and I'm really glad I stumbled upon this website in the daylight instead of right before bed. The website has sections for real paranormal experiences, articles about ghosts, information about well-known haunting, and ghostly pictures and videos...and they have an iPhone app. I'm going to go check out the "Real Ghost Stories" section and scare myself while I'm home alone...sounds like a great idea, right? ; )

Cool Website of the Week: Latest UFO Sightings
This week's cool website is Latest UFO Sightings, where you can watch videos of UFO sightings and see pictures of crop circles. On the home page, the most recent sightings are listed first, but if you want to see if any UFOs were spotted in your area, just click on your continent at the top of the page and pick your country or state. There's also a section for documentaries that look pretty interesting...I wish I had more free time because I want to watch every video on this website! : )

Cool Website of the Week: www.pattygreer.com
When I went to the Roswell UFO Festival a few weeks ago, I attended a lecture by Patty Greer called "Crop Circles, Balls of Light, and Orbs." The lecture was fascinating, so I checked out Patty's website to learn more about her work. On the homepage, there is a picture gallery of crop circles (which are all really impressive) and a trailer for Patty's documentary The Wake Up Call, where you can see an example of the orbs of light that create crop circles. Check out the "Movies and Trailers" section, where you can find trailers for all five of Patty's documentaries; I've only seen one of her documentaries so far, but it was so interesting that I want to see all of them! If you've ever wondered about crop circles, you should check out this website...I have a feeling you'll come away feeling much more informed.

Cool Website of the Week: Crop Circle Connector
My first Cool Website of the Week is Crop Circle Connector. This website was listed at the end of the documentary we watched during the Patty Greer lecture at the Roswell UFO Festival,
and I wrote it down, so I could check it out later. My favorite thing
about the website is that they list every crop circle that has been
reported each month...they already have 12 listed for this month! One
thing I noticed is that a good amount of the crop circles
are turning up in Wiltshire, England, so if you want to see a crop
circle, that's the place to go! The website also posts a picture of
each reported crop circle, and some of them are just amazing...on the
"Latest Circles" page, there's a banner that says "Sand Circles," and if
you click that, you'll see some impressive crop circles on the beach.
When I attended the
Patty Greer's lecture at the UFO Festival, I learned that crop circles
are made by orbs of light, which just makes them even more fascinating
to me. If you're interested in crop circles at all, you should
definitely check out Crop Circle Connector. Who knows? Maybe you'll
find out that there's a crop circle in your town!
